From a technical point of view, there is nothing particularly outstanding about Motorola’s technology. However, there are several interesting points in the implementation: firstly, a slightly modified capacitive sensor is used to determine the location of the human body, which responds to a weak disturbance of the electric field of the sensor antennas caused by a warm human body, and secondly, the sensor allows you to determine not only the location of a person, but also the location of the limbs relative to the body.
Motorola and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) worked together to develop a technology that allows determining the position of limbs relative to the human body.
