RAIDn: the next generation of RAID

InoStor Corporation today announced the development of a new generation of RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) technology – RAIDn. Unlike previous versions of RAID, RAIDn allows you to choose the number of disks, the amount of data and the degree of security required for solving specific problems.

The minimum number of disks that can be used to implement RAIDn is N + 1, where N is the number of available hard disks. Initially it will be available in Linux, in the future it is planned to spread the technology to other operating systems.
