Police hunt killer gang
KABAROLE - The Police are hunting for gunmen who shot dead a disabled woman. The western regional Police spokesperson, Elly Matte, identified the deceased as Margaret Mbabazi, a resident of Butebe in Fort Portal town. “Three men went to Mbabazi’s bar. She went to attend to them thinking that they were genuine customers, but before she took their orders, one of them pulled out a gun and shot her in the chest,” Matte said on Tuesday.

Bishop warns on forests
KIBAALE - The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nathan Kyamanywa, has urged the public to stop clearing forests in search of land. He noted that environmental degradation had resulted into climate change, leading to landslides that have claimed many lives.
